Since our founding in 2021, Fostering Hope RVA has been committed to equipping, empowering, and elevating youth in foster care as they prepare for independent adulthood. Every program we create and every resource we provide is designed to remove barriers, build confidence, and create opportunities for lasting success.
We don't simply provide services—we create pathways to independence.
Our programming is intentionally built around the Casey Life Skills Assessment, ensuring youth receive practical, hands-on instruction in the areas that matter most, including housing, transportation, employment, financial literacy, education, healthy relationships, self-care, and community engagement. Through interactive workshops, mentoring, summer camps, emergency assistance, and housing support, we help young people develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive beyond foster care.

Independent Living & Housing Support
We help youth navigate one of the biggest challenges after foster care—finding and maintaining stable housing. Through housing education, rent assistance, budgeting, and financial support, we help young adults establish a strong foundation for independent living.
NEXT LEVEL Teen Summer Camp
Our signature summer camp equips foster youth with real-world life skills through immersive, hands-on experiences centered around the Casey Life Skills Assessment. Camp includes workshops on housing, transportation, financial literacy, workforce development, career exploration, healthy relationships, wellness, and leadership.
Workforce Development
We connect youth with business leaders and community partners who provide career readiness training, resume development, mock interviews, entrepreneurship education, financial literacy, and employment preparation.
Emergency & Basic Needs Assistance
We provide emergency financial assistance to help youth overcome unexpected barriers while maintaining employment, continuing their education, and working toward self-sufficiency.
Seasonal Giving & Community Outreach
Throughout the year, we provide holiday gifts, care packages, household essentials, meals, and community experiences that remind every young person they are seen, valued, and supported.
